" F-Response is an absolute must for any digital forensics practitioner. As much as you can prepare in advance for an engagement, you can\'t always predict what you will encounter in the field. Having the trump card that is F-Response can save you if you don\'t have the proper ZIF connector in your case or having to reconfigure a RAID array, and to avoid shutting down a production server. Additionally it gives you the flexibility to use your favorite tool in an enterprise manner that it may not have originally been designed for. F-Response is truly the \\\"Swiss Army Knife\\\" in my field kit. "

Not much to do on a cold weekend here in "Sunny" Florida, so I took some time on Sunday to go to the local Borders book store.

Sure enough they had a copy of Eoghan Casey's newest Handbook of Digital Forensics & Investigation on the shelf. All told it looks like an excellent successor to his prior volume, updated to include references to new techniques, processes, and technology.

Speaking of new technology.. I couldn't resist looking up F-Response in the glossary. Lo and behold we appear in a few places in the book, including the Electronic Discovery section (Chapter 3) where Eoghan covers Exchange servers and F-Response. (See video below)

Thanks Eoghan for the coverage! However, even without the F-Response review Eoghan clearly takes the time and applies the attention to detail necessary to cover many of the exciting and challenging advances in the industry, making this new edition clearly worthy of a read.

Great work Eoghan!
