High Tech Crime Investigators Association - Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)
HTCIA puts on a very impressive conference, Paul Jackson, President of the HTCIA Asia Pacific Chapter and Chief Inspector, Technology Crime Division of the Hong Kong Police contacted us and asked if we would like to present at the 2008 HTCIA Asia Pacific Training Conference in Hong Kong. Never one to turn down an opportunity to speak to such an impressive organization we were more than willing to travel to Hong Kong and share the message of F-Response and Live Forensics.

If you have never been to Hong Kong you owe it to yourself to experience the breath taking skyline and beautiful nature setting this territory offers. I would imagine the best parallel I can make for our US readers is Hong Kong is basically a mixture of San Francisco California and New York city. Quite simply, a vibrant, exciting, and very friendly city.
Microsoft graciously hosted the initial presentation day of the conference, their presentation and training center is top notch and made for a very nice venue to deliver our presentation on "Accelerating Incident Response: Answers, Not Information".
Essentially we delivered our vision for the future of Computer Forensics and Incident Response. We strongly believe that live access, physical memory, and more efficient processes will dominate our field for the forseeable future.
Following the presentation was two days of workshops on Live Analysis, including demonstrations and training on using F-Response with the as yet un-released Live Volatility and X-Ways Forensic .
All in all HTCIA Asia Pacific, Paul Jackson and his team , put on an exceptional conference with a beavy of excellent speakers and representatives from Academic, Law Enforcement, and Industry, one that I was honored to attend and present to.
Next up? Some end of the year holiday news right around the corner, stay tuned next week.
Warmest Regards,
