Cloud data and F-Response
Aug 20, 2025
F-Response has been in business just short of twenty years, and we’ve had cloud data collection capabilities for over a decade. Yet we still come across new customers from time to time who are unaware of the cloud data collection options available in F-Response.
This post is our attempt to clear up any potential misconceptions and succinctly cover what F-Response does and does not offer.
First, let’s start with what F-Response cloud data collection looks like. F-Response focuses on providing a simple interface to input cloud provider credentials, then create a collection of the content those credentials have access to, while also allowing the user to reduce that data set based on navigation (Moving to the folder you want to collect) or using filtering (You only want items that match a given string value).
The overall process works the same regardless of F-Response version; however, different versions of F-Response support different cloud providers.
Let’s go over that now and start with the TACTICAL version of F-Response.
TACTICAL is our least expensive offering, but it does include a few cloud services, primarily the consumer-facing versions: (Google Drive, Google Mail, Dropbox for Consumers, Amazon S3, Box for Consumers, and Onedrive).
Consultant, Consultant + Covert, Enterprise, Universal, and Collect support the same providers, but also include the commercial versions: (Google Workspaces, Box for Business, Dropbox for Business, Office365 Onedrive).
We realize cloud collection can seem daunting, so we have developed Mission Guides for each supported provider. The Mission Guides offer targeted training. We walk you through how to create or obtain the appropriate credentials, complete with screen captures, then step you through the process of using them inside F-Response.
So, next time you need to do cloud collection, we hope you’ll think of F-Response.
Thanks!
Warmest Regards,
Matt
