What are Mission Guides? Plus other essential answers to getting the most out of F-Response

Mar 21, 2016

From time to time we like to revisit all the available support options here at F-Response. Sometimes the site can become a little confusing for new visitors so it's good to have a refresher.

At F-Response we believe support is an integral part of the overall experience, as such we try to provide a number of ways to get help understanding how to use, and get the most out of, F-Response.

For immediate assistance we always recommend using the Support Chat (Live Help) button on the right hand side of each and every page on this site. The Support Chat is the fastest way to get directly to someone who can help you. It's a great way to get rapid support, especially in situations when phone calls might be challenging (server rooms come to mind!).

Of course, after Live Chat and Phone, email is actually a very good way to get in touch with us. Our main email boxes are tracked into the evening and on the weekends. You can either use the direct address "support at f-response.com" or you can use our Contact Us link to fill out your inquiry.

Next, let's talk about written assistance.

We provide three different forms of documentation to get you through your project. The first, and primary documentation are the F-Response specific product manuals, each of which are available on the Mission Guides and Documentation page of our website.

Next, as the headline of this post suggests, you have the F-Response Mission Guide series of documents. What are Mission Guides? Simply put Mission Guides are our take on "targeted" training. We realize many people who use F-Response are using it in pressure packed situations, late nights, evenings, weekends, etc. In those instances it's sometimes hard to remember the exact process step by step to get you to an attached disk/volume/cloud share etc. That's where Mission Guides come in. We write Mission Guides to cut through all the details and get right to the heart of the matter, how do you do "X"? You'll find all our Mission Guides on the same Mission Guides and Documentation page on our website. Perhaps you feel like we are missing one? Something you'd like covered that we don't already have, [tell us](/contact/contactus] about it, we'd love to know.

Lastly, there are "Support Guides". Most customers won't run into those, but if you do, it's because Support needs to walk you through something very specific and sends you a specific "Support Guide" for the current challenge you are facing. We've made sure Support Guides are clean, simply and very specific, plus if you are using a Support Guide then you most likely have a Support Tech working with you directly.

Bottom line, don't panic! We're here to help when and if you need it.

Thanks!

Warmest Regards,

M Shannon, F-Response
